14th ALL INDIA COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION FOR ADMISSIONS TO MASTER’S DEGREE PROGRAMMES (AIEEA-PG-2009) IN THE FIELD OF AGRICULTURE, VETERINARY AND ALLIED SCIENCES FOR THE ACADEMIC SESSION 2009-2010 AND AWARD OF J.R.F.(PGS)
 

Applications are invited for the 14th All India Competitive Examination for admissions to 100% seats of Master’s Degree programme at IARI, IVRI, CIFE, NDRI, and 25% seats at all the State Agricultural Universities (CAU, BHU, AMU, Viswa Bharti and Nagaland University), and AAUDU in the field of Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Agricultural Engineering, Home Science, Social Science, Dairy, Fisheries, Veterinary, Agriculture Business Management and Allied Sciences, for the Academic Session 2009-2010 and Award of ICAR’s Junior Research Fellowships (JRF).

Eligibility:

Age: Not less than 19 years as on 31st August 2009.
Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (or appearing in Final year examination), in the field of Agriculture, Veterinary, Agricultural Engineering, Fisheries, Horticulture, Home Science, Sericulture, Dairy Technology, Dairy Engineering, Forestry, Agri. Marketing Banking and Cooperation, Food Science & Technology, Biotechnology, Process & Food Engineering, Computer Science, Basic and allied sciences under 10+2+5 or 10+2+4 (most seats) or 10+2+3 (only few seats) with 60% marks or OGPA 6.60/ 10.00 or 3.25/5.00 or 2.60/4.00 for General, OBC and UPS categories and 55% marks or OGPA 5.50/ 10.00 or 2.75/5.00 or 2.20/4.00 for SC, ST and Physically Handicapped (PH) categories.
For admission in the subject of Veterinary Sciences, candidates must have completed B.V.Sc. & A.H. with Internship before the date of registration in the University or August 31, 2009 whichever is earlier. It may be noted that the candidate has to fulfill the eligibility criteria of the admitting University for the admission at the time of counseling. (Candidates appearing in the final year examination of Bachelor degree will have to submit certificates/ provisional mark sheets signed by the Registrar of the University of their having completed the degree in all respects on the date of counseling or else they will be summarily disqualified).
Reservation: As per Govt. of India directives. 15% seats in all subjects will be reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes (ST), 3% for Physically Handicapped (PH), and 2% for candidates from Under-Privileged States (UPS). Reservation for OBC in four Central Universities (NDRI, CAU, BHU and Viswa Bharti) will be as per Government of India directives/ University rules.
